The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) has organized "Hands-on Choral Workshop 2011" from Oct. 25-29, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Manila’s Pasay City. The workshop is a choral clinic open to amateur choirs and choral conductors who wish to hone their skills in choral singing, conducting and performing.

Now on its 11th year, the workshop has trained choirs and conductors from different parts of the country, some of whom have already competed and won in local and international competitions.

The Philippine Madrigal Singers, led by choirmaster Mark Anthony Carpio, leads the trainers composed of the present members and alumni of the world-renowned choral ensemble.

The workshop will culminate in a concert by all participating choirs and conductors at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater) on Oct. 29, at 3 p.m.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. For inquiries, call CCP Music Division at 832-1125 loc. 1604/1605.
