This year’s Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s annual cultural festival ‘Rendezvous’ begins and apart from the regular events, organizers are ensuring that the Formula 1 Grand Prix frenzy is also felt on the campus.
The fest, which will be flagged off on October 21 at 5 pm, will come to a close on Monday, Oct. 24. A footfall of over 40,000 students is expected at the 4-day festival.
This year, the IIT has also collaborated with several embassies for renowned musicians from the respective countries to come and participate at ‘Rendezvous.’ There is a Swedish music band which is going to participate. There will also be several performances by French and Mexican musicians, including a classical music recital by Shubha Mudgal.
Red Bull’s test driver, Daniel Ricciardo will drive the F-1 car in IIT-Delhi on October 22. The roads at IIT-Delhi are being re-laid for this and the entire campus already has a festive look.
