Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be organizing Food Processing (Foodpro) 2011, the ninth edition of India's biennial food processing & food technology trade fair. The event will be held from October 21- 23, 2011, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.
The crossover concept of Foodpro 2011 covers everything from manufacturing and processing of foods, to packaging, storage and retailing with a process orientation and cross-sector approach.
India's food processing industry is one of the largest sectors in terms of production, consumption, export and growth prospects. It is estimated to be worth over $200 billion and is likely to touch $310 billion by 2015. The industry is anticipated to grow at 16% during the 11th Five-Year Plan period.
