Report by Santanu Ganguly, Mumbai: With the roll out of Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) for several government schemes from January 1, 2013 in six districts across Maharashtra, a special drive has been started for Aadhaar enrollment of the beneficiaries of these schemes.

The schemes identified for the Direct Cash Transfer through Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service (AEPS) include:

1. Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

2. Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students

3. Pre Matric Scholarship for Children of those Engaged in Unclean Operations

4. Post Matric Scholarship for OBCs, Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

5. National Means- cum -Merit Scholarship

6. National Incentive for the Girl Child for Secondary Education

7. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

8. Janani Suraksha Yoajana

9. Permanent Disability Benefits

10. Dependent Benefits

11. Sickness State Insurance Corp. to the insured person and their families

The beneficiaries of the above mentioned 11 schemes from Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Pune Amravati, Nandurbar, and Wardha districts can enroll for Aadhaar till January 30 at the their nearest Aadhaar enrolment centers.

The enrolment of beneficiaries will be done on priority as the benefits of these schemes will be linked to their Aadhaar numbers. Instructions have been issued to Aadhar enrolment centers to do out-of-turn enrolments if beneficiaries of these schemes come with proper documents.
