Chelsea FC midfielder John Mikel Obi, who recently signed a new 5-year deal, has been given a 3-match ban and a fine of £60,000 by FA for threatening referee Mark Clattenburg after the Blues much-heated match against arch rivals Manchester United on October 28.
Chelsea FC had lodged a complaint against Mark Clattenburg for making racist remarks against the Nigerian during the match. The FA had investigated the allegation but found no substantial proof hence charges were dropped against Clattenburg.
