After a dismal week that saw the Gunners go out of Capital One Cup with defeat to League Two side Bradford City and shouts for Arsene Wenger head, Arsenal FC put up a commanding show in their premier league 5-2 thrashing of Reading at the Madejski Stadium on December 18.
Santi Cazorla’s hat-trick and a strike from Lukas Podolski within the hour-mark were evident enough of how much the Gunners dominated the match. Adam Le Fondre and Jimmy Kebe scored as Reading put-up a brief comeback but a goal from Theo Walcott, his 11th goal of the season, in the 80th minute saw the Gunners finishing-off the match at 5-2.
With this win, Arsenal FC move up to 5th spot in EPL standing while Reading are at the bottom with just 9 points.
