Akshay Kumar's ‘Khiladi 786’ Fails to Impress

Akshay Kumar’s latest movie Khiladi 786, which seems to be a replica of Akki’s 2008 flick Welcome’s plot, is a story of a criminal family which wants to get their son married to a reputed family. The film seems to be lacking fun element with wit.

Akshay Kumar could have done a good work if the script was sensible. Asin looks good and tries hard to play the gangster’s sister. She has hardly acted in this movie. Himesh Reshammiya tries his best to act as a ‘Gujju’ but alas he fails to strike the right chord. The old adage ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ goes well with Himesh who tries his hand in everything (he’s the producer, storywriter, music director, singer and actor in the film) and gets nothing. Raj Babbar and Mukesh Rishi remain unnoticed.

Watch the film if you swear by Akshay Kumar. If you don’t, you’d be ill-advised to go into the theaters.
