Good news for the Manchester United faithfuls, striker Robin van Persie, who was facing a 3-match ban if found guilty of violent conduct, will not be punished by the FA despite appearing to elbow Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye during the weekend premier league clash.

Earlier, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew had called for a FA probe into the incident.
