Olympics: USA Win Gold in Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay

Allison Schmitt anchored the American girls to Olympic gold in the 4x200 meters freestyle relay in London on Aug. 2, 2012.

Schmitt charged down Australia's Alicia Coutts to take gold for the US in 7 minutes, 43.92 seconds, an Olympic record.

The Australians, who won the 4x100m relay, clocked 7:44.41, while France, the early leader, hung on for bronze in 7:47.49.
