FA Cup Final: Chelsea vs Liverpool at Wembley Stadium, London on May 5

A resurgent Chelsea team led by interim coach Di Matteo will take on English historic club Liverpool for the prestigious FA Cup, the oldest association football competition in the world, at Wembley Stadium in London, England on May 5, 2012.

Liverpool has won the FA Cup seven times while Chelsea six times, the last one being in 2009, defeating Portsmouth 1-0 in the final. The FA Cup final will be the 31st meeting between the clubs in the past eight seasons.

Liverpool and Chelsea go into the final on the back of disappointing home defeats; Liverpool lost 1-0 to Fulham while the Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in their battle for a top four EPL finish.

Chelsea have won five and Liverpool four of their previous nine meetings in the FA Cup.
