Skoda to Launch Two New SUVs

Czech-based luxury carmaker Skoda has announced its intentions to develop two more sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and introduce them to markets across the world in the coming future. Of the two, one SUV will be based on the current Volkswagen Toureg, while a smaller will fit into the lineup below the Yeti. The latter one will most probably be introduced as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

The plan to introduce the two new vehicles to Skoda’s lineup reminisces of the company’s strategy to unveil a new model every six months. The company had revealed the plan at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show as a possible method of attracting more loyal customers to the brand.

Work on developing the two new SUVs is on. However, Skoda has not revealed an official date for the launch of the vehicles. They can be expected to hit markets within a few years. More details about the vehicle’s specifications are expected to be revealed as the launch date approaches.
