IIM Bangalore is all set to host the UK-India Innovation and Leadership Meeting from March 5–6, 2012. The event will encourage IP-protected research and innovation in health science, explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
A team of senior UK representatives from bio-pharmaceutical and health science sector will visit Bangalore to explore and expand partnerships with India. The team comprises Kings College London, Research Councils UK (RCUK), UK-India Business Council (UKIBC), Welcome Trust, BioCity Nottingham and the University of Nottingham.
The participating British companies include Critical Pharmaceuticals UK, who has a pipeline of novel biological products, Proxima Concepts UK who offer oral delivery of peptides and proteins and technology for drug discovery, PGXis UK, who are a genomics technology firm and Inception Associates UK, who help Indian firms in the sector, set up in the UK.
