Delhi Jazz Music Festival Begins

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in partnership with embassies and cultural institutes of Poland, France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, and Georgia and in collaboration with Seher organizes a three-day Delhi Jazz music festival in delhi from March 16-18, 2012. Polish jazz band – Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet from Poland will rock the event.

The Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet from Poland plays acoustic improvised music. In their album "Smells Like Tape Spirit" the band refers to the roots of real masters, like Coltrane, Dolphy or Mingus among others.

To remain faithful to the idea of recording the album in the style of the great masters, the album was mixed straight to analogue tape without using any effects during the missing process to produce a warm, soft sound.
