Mumbai to Host Kabir Festival From Feb. 17–19

Kabir Festival, a folk music fest is back in its second edition featuring artistes from different parts of India. Commencing from February 17, 2012 the three-day music fest will be held in Mumbai.

The fest aims to spread the message of saint Kabir through live folk music and storytelling sessions. Folk artistes like Prahlad Tipanya (Madhya Pradesh), Mooralala Marwada (Kutch), Mukhtiyar Ali (Thar) and Bhanwari Devi (Rajasthan) will perform at the event.

The advisory committee of the festival comprises of eminent personalities such as Nandita Das, Javed Akhtar, Kailash Kher, Anand Patwardhan, Dolly Thakore amongst others.
