Mobile A-V Units Launched for Rural Areas in Nagaland

In a bid to build an effective interface between the government activities and the rural people, Nagaland IPR department has launched 'rural mobile audio-visual publicity units' in Kohima on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012.

Launching the units, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Public Relations (IPR) R Tohanba said, IPR plays a pivotal role to counter the 'forces of alienation' by bringing in the government closer to the people and making them part of the whole development process.

With induction of the latest multimedia gadgets and facilities, the department is now equipped with the best tools to inform the public in rural areas about the policies, programs and activities of the government.
