Ford Opens 45 Outlets in 35 Indian Cities

Ford India, subsidiary of the US major Ford, launched 45 dealer outlets of its Indian subsidiary across 35 cities in the country. With the opening up of 45 new outlets, Ford currently has 230 outlets across 123 cities across India.

"We will continue our growth commitment in India with the launching new outlets every 10 days," Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said.
"Exactly, two years back, on February 16, we opened 26 dealerships on a single day. Today, we are inaugurating 45 new outlets. This is on the success of our (hatchback) Ford Figo and we will continue to open new outlets every 10 days. That shows the commitment of Ford in India," Boneham said.

He said 40 per cent of the outlets were in tier II and III cities.

Ford has planned to introduce eight new models by the middle of this decade. Two of the eight products - Ford Figo and Ford Ecosport - have already been introduced.
