BCCI to Hunt Bowlers in Himachal From Feb. 18–19

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be looking out for raw bowling talent in Himachal Pradesh for domestic matches. This is for the first time that the BCCI is coming to the state to shortlist grassroots talent.

The BCCI in association with the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) will conduct open bowling trials for upcoming players of the state who have not played in any BCCI-approved match.

He said former Indian coach and current director of National Cricket Academy Sandip Patil and coaches Karsan Ghavri and Joginder Puri would be at the HPCA's stadium in Dharamsala for 'Open Bowling Trials' on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19, 2012.

Patil had recently said they would visit various cities across the country to select players who have never got any opportunity to play even in BCCI-approved matches.
