The World Ophthalmology Congress 2012 kicks off in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Feb. 18, 2012. The congress, which is being held for the first time in the Middle East, is organized at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC) by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (ADTA).
"We are actively bidding for other major medical meetings and, although competition is stiff, we believe the case study of World Ophthalmology Congress 2012 will stand is in good stead," said Mubarak Al Nuaimi, one of the organizers of the event. The event will help generate $21,880, the organizers said.
Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye.
