Renaissance Candlemas Concert in Paoli on Jan. 29

Vox Renaissance Consort will perform its “A Renaissance Candlemas” concert at 6 pm on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli, Pennsylvania.

This features classical music with period instruments and clothes. Take a joyous musical journey back in time with director Dr. Valentin Radu and his group for the time of year when winter begins to make way for the rebirth of spring.

They will perform music popular during the European High Renaissance and Early Baroque periods (about 1550 to 1675). Also, Radu will play the abbey pipe organ. The concert will last about 75 minutes with no intermission.

Cost is $25 general/$20 seniors/$10 students. You can buy tickets online at www.voxamadeus.org, by phone at 610-688-2800 and at the door 45 minutes before showtime.
