First Niagara Wine and Beer Fest in Lockport on Jan. 28

The Kenan Center in Lockport presents the first-ever Niagara Wine and Beer Fest at the Kenan Center Arena, 195 Beattie Ave, New York, United States on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 from 5-9 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kenan Center and its diverse arts, education and recreation programs.

Wineries that will be participating are: Arrowhead Spring Vineyards, Black Willow Winery, Chateau Niagara Winery, Eveningside Vineyards, Freedom Run Winery, Honeymoon Trail Winery, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, Schulze Vineyards & Winery, Victorianbourg Wine Estate, Vizcarra Vineyards, and the Winery of Ellicottville.

Breweries represented will be Flying Bison, Lake Placid, Saranac, Long Trail, Pyramid, and Brooklyn. Blackman Homestead Farm, Murphy Orchards, Hens Honey Bee Farm, and Diva’s All That Chocolate will offer tastings and products for sale.

Live music with JJ Swing and DJ Vince Davis Jr., food, a 50/50 split raffle, and a Chinese auction will round out the evening. Each guest will receive a souvenir tasting glass, 20 tasting tickets and a tasting journal for jotting down favorite wines and beers.

Pre-sale tickets are $20 through Friday, Jan. 27 at the Kenan Center business office or online at www.NiagaraWineAndBeerFest.com.

Admission at the door will be $30. This is an adult only event, and only those age 21 and over will be admitted with proper ID. Designated drivers will be admitted for $5 at the door. Complimentary coffee and tea will be available.
