BlackBerry Apps Hackathon in Bangalore, Gurgaon

Research in Motion is conducting a BBM Apps Hackathon event for the first time in India. The event will be held in two cities — Bangalore (Jan. 9–10) and Gurgoan (Jan. 12–13) — providing BlackBerry enthusiasts “a sneak preview into the world of apps” and enable them to meet developers.

Through this interactive and intimate hands-on workshop, you can learn how to use the BBM Social Platform to virally introduce your app to a wider audience and take your app to a new social dimension.

Applicant Qualification:

* Have an idea for a new BlackBerry application that incorporates BBM
* Have the capability to build a BlackBerry smartphone app with your idea
* Have a laptop with all the software, accessories and equipment needed to build your app including a laptop loaded with BlackBerry Webworks or BlackBerry Java
