Mumbai: Irrfan Khan to Host BIG Star Entertainment Awards on Dec. 18

Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan will turn host at an award function for the first time on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011. He will team up with Shreyas Talpade to co-host the BIG Star Entertainment Awards, which will be held in Mumbai.

Known for his spontaneous and natural flair for acting, Irrfan's profound dialogue delivery is expected to add a different dimension to the event, especially with the comical Shreyas as the co-host.

The BIG Star Entertainment Awards, conceptualized by Reliance Broadcast Network's intellectual property division, BIG Live, will be the first award function of the season to honor talent in films, television, music, dance and sports.

The glitzy evening will see performances by Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. It will be aired for viewers on Star Plus on New Year's Eve.
