Kolkata: Classical Music Featuring Arid Khan, Soumik Datta on Dec. 15

A musical evening featuring Arid Khan on Tabla and Soumik Datta on Sarod will be held in Kolkata on Dec. 15, 2011.

"British Sarod Maestro,' film music composer and artist in residence at Southbank Centre (London), Soumik Datta is fast being recognized as one of the most prolific British Asian artists of his generation.

Arif Khan is one of the youngest amongst the renowned Tabla players of the country and belongs to the famous “Farukkhabad Gharana." He is also blessed to have the "Kirana Gharana" from his mother.
