The third edition of India-China Writers’ Dialogue kicks off in Mumbai on Dec. 19, 2011. The annual event will continue until Dec. 21. The event brings together a number of leading writers from India and China.

This year the events begin on December 19 with private discussions between the writers during the day. On the first two days, they will be followed by readings in the evenings, to be held at Jnanapravaha, Fort, which are open to the public.

On December 21, the day’s discussions will be followed by a panel discussion, also open to the public. Speakers Ashis Nandy, Bei Dao, Li Tuo and Han Shaogong will discuss ‘The scope and limits of dissent.’

The first two editions took place in New Delhi and Beijing and Shanghai respectively.
