Bangalore to Host Sufi, Mystic Music Fest on Dec. 10

Banyan Tree will present the 11th edition of Ruhaniyat — The All India Sufi and Mystic Music Festival on December 10, from 6.30 pm onwards at Jayamahal Palace Grounds, Bangalore.

The performances for the festival are Baul songs by Parvathy Baul (Bengal), Sema by ‘Whirling Dervishes’ (Turkey), ‘Mystic Kalam’ by Indra and Shakur Khan and group (Rajasthan), Sufiana Kalam and mystic songs by Abdul Rashid Hafiz (Kashmir), Bharud and Abhang by Avdhoot Gandhi (Maharashtra), Sufi Qawwali by Shameem Nayeem and group (Jaipur).

Ruhaniyat is the largest and probably the only all-India Sufi and mystic music festival of its kind in India.
