27th Santa Barbara International Film Festival From Jan. 26–Feb. 5

The 27th edition of Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) will kick start on Jan. 26 and will continue till Feb. 5, 2012.

The festival showcases independent American and international films. The SBIFF line-up includes 20 world premieres and 11 US premieres, with a newly expanded 11-day festival. Opening and closing night festivities take place at Santa Barbara’s historic Arlington Theater in California, United States.

SBIFF, which attracts more than70,000 visitors every year, endeavors to enrich the community both culturally and economically by presenting 11 days of films, tributes and symposiums, raising the consciousness of film as an art form.

SBIFF presents American and world independent films, Latin American and Asian sidebars as well as documentary cinema.
