Orissa: Children Fest ‘Anjali’ Kicks off in Bhubaneswar

Anjali, the 10th annual children's festival kicked off at the Adivasi ground in Unit-I in Bhubaneswar, Orissa from November 9, 2011.

Over 1,000 children from across India will participate in this cultural celebration. During the festival, selected movies will be screened everyday at 10 am. The films are 'Yeh Hai Chhakad Bakkad Bumbe Bo,' 'Karamati Coat,' 'Chhutkan ki Mahabharat/Labanya Priti,' 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge' and 'Mahek Mirza.'

Cultural programs by artistes with disability like New Delhi-based 'Ability Unlimited' will take place every day. They will perform classical and contemporary dances. Shymbazaar Anyadesh, a Kolkata-based opera group, will stage the play Raktakarabi. 'Articulate,' a Bangalore based visually-challenged dance troupe will also perform during the festival. Besides, 'Unplugged,' an inter college rock band contest will also be organized.
