Karnataka to Host State Youth Festival From Nov. 12

The Karnataka State Youth Festival, a three-day cultural extravaganza will be held at Gandhi Maidan, Karkala, Udupi district from November 12.

Around 1,700 youth from all 30 districts in Karnataka will participate in various competitions. Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda will inaugurate the event.

Candidates in the age group of 15–35 years are eligible to participate in the event. Last year, it was held in Mandya.

The events will include folk, music, dance, one-act play, Karnatic and Hindustani classical vocal and instrumental and elocution.

The winners of first, second and third prizes would get cash awards of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 1,000, respectively, along with certificates.
