Danbury to Witness First Mahler Symphony Concert on Nov. 6

The Danbury Symphony Orchestra will perform a Gustav Mahler symphony for the first time in its 76-year history on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3 pm at Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main St, Connecticut, USA.

It will be Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D minor, "The Titan." Joining the symphony on violin is Joana Genova, who will perform Fritz Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro. She is one of the all-time favorite soloists of the orchestra and Danbury audiences.

Peg Heetmann, whose late husband, Paul, played violin for many years with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, is again sponsoring the orchestra.

The concert is free.
