The Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD), Texas invites the community to join firefighters in celebrating the arrival of cooler days during its 2011 fall festival Oct. 22. The festivities will take place at AVFD Station 2 at the corner of Atascocita Road and Woodland Hills Drive.
From 11 a.m.–5 p.m., firefighters will host games, offer refreshments and entertain the crowd. There will also be Life Flight landing and a vehicle extrication demonstration.
Vendors will also be present and visitors are encouraged to try their luck in the raffle.
The event will give the public an opportunity to meet and greet firefighters, emergency management and support personnel.
