Paris to Host Pitchfork Music Festival From Oct. 28-29

Chicago's Pitchfork Music Festival has planned to expand internationally for the first time, with a two-day festival in Paris.

The Pitchfork Music Festival kicks off from October 28-29 at La Grande Halle de la Villette, a stunning 19th century glass and metal structure that stands in the center of the Parc de la Villette, the largest public cultural park in Paris, France.

More than 20 bands and a multitude of DJs will take over the 5,000-capacity venue during the two-day affair. Bon Iver's Justin Vernon will co-curate the event.

On Day 1, groups like Wild Beast (described on Pitchfork as “vaudevillian”) and Washed Out (“lush”) will play successive sets. A til-dawn club night featuring Four Tet (“weirdo-techno”) and Cut Copy (“atmospheric, pastoral”) will follow. On Day 2, Bon Iver will headline a bill featuring artists handpicked by the band’s leader, Justin Vernon, including Lykke Li and The Rosebuds.
