EPL: John Obi Mikel Signs New 5-Year Chelsea Contract

Nigerian international midfielder John Obi Mikel has signed a new 5-year deal that will see him stay at Stamford Bridge till 2017.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea FC in 2006 after pulling out of a move to arch rivals Manchester United.

Mikel has won one Champions League, one Barclays Premier League title, four FA Cups and a League Cup during his 6-year stint at the Bridge so far.
