Catalan giants Barcelona FC were held to a goalless 0-0 draw by Portuguese side Benfica at Camp Nou in their last Group G match. Having already booked a spot in the last 16, Tito Vilanova put up a second string side for this match even leaving Lionel Messi, who is just one strike away from equaling Gerd Muller's 85 goals in a calendar year, on the bench. Messi was introduced in the 58th minute of the match but was unable to find the net, the Argentine footballing wizard was carried from the field late on due to an injury. Barcelona and Scottish side Celtic FC qualify for the Round of 16 from Group G.
While in a Group H match played at Old Trafford on December 6, Romanian side CFR Cluj defeated Manchester United 1-0 thanks to a wonderful strike from Luis Alberto in the 56th minute. Manchester United and Greek side Galatasaray are through to the knock-out stages from Group H.
