The Panthers home is now 16 years old and has yet to undergo any major renovations in its existence. The Panthers are considering upgrades to the facility, which could cost as much as $250 million. The improvements could cost local taxpayers as much as $80 million.
The NFL awarded New Jersey the 2014 Super Bowl.
