Host team Sri Lanka will take on minnows Zimbabwe in the opening match. Being the host of the International Tournament, first match is quite important for Sri Lanka to win.
This is the 4th edition of ICC T20 World Cup and cricket experts have pronounced Sri Lanka as the top favorite team for the title because it has an extra advantage of playing at home.
The first ICC T20 tournament was held in 2007 in Africa and India became the first winner of the T20 World Cup after beating Pakistan in the final match.
Second T20 World Cup was held in 2009 in England and Pakistan won the title of ICC T20 World Champion after defeating Sri Lanka in the final match. The 3rd ICC T20 World Cup was held in 2010 in West Indies and England won that title after defeating Australia in the final that was the first victory of England in any of the international cricket Tournament.
