New Ford Fiesta Launched in India for Rs 7.23 Lakh

American automaker Ford launched a new version of its mid-sized sedan Fiesta on March 14, 2012. The car is priced between Rs 7.23 lakh and Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), cheaper by up to Rs 1.45 lakh from the earlier range.

The new version — Fiesta Ambiente — is available in both petrol and diesel options powered by 1,500 cc engines and will replace the earlier global Fiesta that was launched in July 2011.

The earlier version was priced between Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 10.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the petrol and diesel options, respectively.

The Fiesta Ambiente will compete with the likes of Honda City and Hyundai Verna, which are priced between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
