Lady Gaga Concert in Indonesia on June 3 Termed 'Un-Islamic'

Five-time Grammy Award winner, Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform in Indonesia’s capital city of Jakarta on June 3, 2012 as part of her "Born This Way Ball" tour.

Lady Gaga follows the slew of internationally acclaimed artists performing to full house audiences in Indonesia, from Justin Bieber to Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Il Divo to Stevie Wonder and many more.

Lady Gaga is planned to perform at the Gelora Bung Karno National Stadium in Jakarta, which can seat 80,000 people, allowing for a massive audience to watch her show. Gaga will perform hits from her latest album Born This Way as well as music from both The Fame and The Fame Monster.

A member of Indonesia's highest Islamic authority has said Muslims should stay away from an upcoming concert by Lady Gaga, who he said aimed to undermine the values of the world's largest Muslim country.

"(The concert is) intended to destroy the nation's morality," said Indonesian Council of Ulema chairman Cholil Ridwan. "She's from the West, and she often shows her private parts while performing," he said.

He said the 25,000 fans who purchased tickets for the June 3 concert leg of the "Born This Way Ball" tour should return their tickets

The show sold out in around two hours when tickets went on sale March 10.
