Folk Drama Festival in Manipur From March 15–20

The second edition of All Manipur Folk Drama Festival will kick start from March 15–20, 2012. The festival will coincide with the 82nd Foundation Day celebration of the Union on March 15.

The festival is being sponsored by the Ministry Arts and Culture, Government of India and the main objective behind organizing the festival is to promote traditional folk dramas of Manipur.

All six theater groups of Manipur would participate in the festival. The participating theatre groups are MDU, Performing Artist's Association Manipur, Leimayol Art's Centre, North Eastern Theatre Association, Imphal Theatre and the Cosmopolitan Dramatic Union.
