Anoushka Shankar Concert at Texas’s Allen Theatre on March 30

Breaking new grounds with her latest album 'Traveller: A Raga-Flamenco Journey,' World renowned sitar player Anoushka Shankar will perform live on March 30, 2012 at Allen Theatre in Texas, United States.

Shankar will perform on her latest tracks at ‘The Texas Tech University Presidential Lecture and Performance Series,’ showcasing the evolutionary bridge between flamenco and Indian music. The concert will feature amalgamation of various instruments including sitar, tabla, bansuri flute, percussion and Spanish guitar.

Shankar has toured with her experimental group 'The Anoushka Shankar Project' since 2007. In 2008, the virtuoso made a five-city duet tour of India with the legendary rock band ‘Jethro Tull.’ She has also shared the stage with renowned artistes such as Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Elton John, Madonna, Nina Simone, Sting, and James Taylor.
