Fiji Hosts Aviation Workshop From Feb. 27–March 1

The Republic of Fiji will host representatives from top aviation organizations from around the world in a four-day workshop in Nadi from Feb. 27–March 1, 2012.

Airports Fiji Limited Manager Air Traffic Services Vula Seru said the objective of the workshop was to discuss issues related to Air Traffic Management within the Asia-Pacific Region.

Mr Seru said Air Traffic Management provided services that regulate and assisted aircraft to ensure their safe operations.

He said the Informal South Pacific ATS Coordinating Group members were Airports Fiji Limited, the United States Federal Aviation Administration, Air Services Australia, Airways New Zealand, Civil Aviation Authority of Papua New Guinea, Japan Aviation Authority as well as the aviation authorities of Chile.
