Apollo to Set up 100 Dental Clinics Across India

Chennai-based healthcare service provider Apollo Hospitals and medical technology company Trivitron Healthcare joined hands to set up 100 clinics across India over the next 18 months.

The joint venture, Alliance Dental Care, is looking to set up 100 clinics across India over the next 18 months of which 5–7 will be luxury dental spas for cosmetic procedures, 40–50 will be dental studios in major metros and the rest affordable dental care centers.
Apollo will own a 70% stake in Alliance Dental Care. In the first phase of the rollout, the joint venture plans to raise about Rs 50–60 crore from private equity investors for the project.

The dental chain is eyeing revenue of Rs 25 crore by the end of the year and hopes to touch Rs 100 crore by 2014.

Apollo’s existing network of 20 dental clinics in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata will be rebranded White Dental Clinics and be brought under the joint venture.
