Cafu, Ronaldo, Maldini to Play in Kolkata on Jan. 15

World football stars like Ronaldo (Brazil), Cafu, Paolo Maldini, Samuel Eto’o and many more are scheduled to play at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata on January 15, 2012.

The team that will be travelling to Kolkata will be called World XI and will play a match against India XI led by Baichung Bhutia. The India XI will be coached by Shyam Thapa, former international footballer. The World XI would be coached by the legendary Ruud Gullit.

The India XI would consist of Baichung Bhutia (C), Sushil Kumar Singh, Renedy Singh, IM Vijayan, Bruno Coutinho, Jo-Paul Ancheri, Dino Morea, Ashmit Patel and others.

The World XI would consist of Regi Blinker, Cafu (C), Ronaldo, Paolo Maldini, Marcel Desailly, Angsker Birkman, Winston Bogarde, Pierre van Hooijdonk, Samuel Eto'o, Stephen Appiah, Christian Karembeu, Roland Kopp, Marcel Oerlemans, Ronald de Boer and Rene Higuita (GK).

Organizers are also trying to rope in Brazilian great Pele as a guest for the event.
