AR Rahman Live in Concert is scheduled to be held on December 9, 2011 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai Sports City. The event marks the beginning of his world tour and will include chart-topping hits from his earlier movies like Roja and Dil Se as well as his latest composition Rockstar.
The highly anticipated three and a half hour concert will also feature Mohit Chauhan and Javed Ali of Rockstar fame, percussionist Sivamani, playback singers Suresh Peters, Neeti Muhan and Shweta Pandit. Supporting acts include Canadian singer Natalie Di Luccio and guitarist Sanjeev Thomas.
AR Rahman, also known as Mozart of Madras, previously performed in Dubai in 1998 and said that performance was the “most memorable concert of his life” that was attended by about 45,000 people.
