Bangalore Hosts First Bitfilm Festival in India From Dec. 2–4

Max Muller Bhavan in Bangalore will host the Bitfilm Festival for the first time in India from December 2–4, 2011. The festival presents films that use digital technology in a creative and innovative way.

Bitfilm Festival started this year with an opening event in Hamburg, Germany on October 17, and carried on with a global Internet-based film competition. The festival will begin in Bangalore with an award ceremony on December 2, between 7 pm and 11 pm.

Film Screenings:

On Saturday, between 2 pm and 8 pm, the films that will be screened, include: MACHINIMA 1, MACHINIMA 2, 3D SPACE 1, FX MIX 1, 3D SPACE 2 and FX MIX 2.

There will be repeat screening on Sunday from 2 pm to 11 pm, along with the screening of a 90-minute documentary by Victor Scheffe.

This is the first festival worldwide with Machinima competition for films made with computer games, the first German festival with competition for films made for viewing on mobile phones and first worldwide festival with competition for real-time demos.
