The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe started in Cannes, France on October 15 for the first time since its move from London.The €10,400 WSOP Europe main event will find a champion on Oct. 20.
Last year’s champion James Bord took home £830,401 for topping a field of 346 in London.
After the events of June and July in Las Vegas, it is no surprise to see Phil Hellmuth leading the way ahead of Ben Lamb, Brian Rast and Chris Moorman. Despite Phil´s three second places, he is catchable; and a good series of results at the WSOPE could see any player snatch the Player of the Year title.
