BurJuman — a well-known shopping mall in Dubai, UAE — once again hosts the Safe and Sound Pink Walkathon 2011 to benefit breast cancer. This annual event is one of the largest initiatives of its kind in the country and attracts thousands of participants each year.
This year, the Pink Walkathon will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from the Burjuman Shopping Mall in Bur Dubai at 8 am.
The 3.6 kilometer walk begins and ends at BurJuman. Registration is required in order to participate, which can be done in advance at BurJuman’s information counters or on the day of the walk between 7 –8 am at Walk Registration, Level 1, opposite Virgin Megastore.
Registration costs 50 AED for adults and 30 AED for children between 8–12 years of age. Children below 8 years walk for free. All registered participants get a free T-shirt and cap and their names go into a raffle draw to win exciting prizes. Group and Corporate registrations are also available for groups of 10 or more.
