Arab American Festival in Phoenix From Oct. 22-23

The sixth annual Arab American Festival will kick start in Phoenix, Arizona, USA from Oct. 22–23, 2011. The festival is expected to draw more than 30,000 people over two days in Phoenix.

The LEL Brothas, a hip-hop duo based in Prescott Valley, and the Iraqi pop band UTN1 lead the list of more than 20 music and dance acts scheduled to take the stage at Steele Indian School Park on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival, which attracts people from throughout the Southwest, also will include artists from across the Middle East, as well as such American acts as the Opal Collective belly-dancing group.

More than 70 vendors, including 25 selling food, will be on the site.
