HCL Infosystems Acquires Edurix Business

HCL Infosystems Ltd said it has signed a business transfer agreement for acquiring Edurix Business of designing and implementing content for the K-12 education segment.

Edurix Business is part of Attano Media and Education Private Ltd that provides contents through digital medium to students.

Education is one of the focused areas the company is looking at and has launched products dedicated for students, apart from home and office users. Analysts say that the company is looking at creating pocket-friendly products that cater to various segments of consumers, especially students.

For example, recently it launched devices including the Beanstalk range of all-in-one PCs and Smart Series 1044 laptop that targets tier-II and -III segment of consumers with price starting at Rs 20,000.
