American actress Katie Holmes has been spending time with Jake Gyllenhaal in recent weeks. She has enjoyed a number of dinner dates with Gyllenhaal at his West Village apartment in New York.

The couple was introduced to each other by Holmes's former "Dawson's Creek" co-star Joshua Jackson.

Holmes has been single since her divorce from Tom Cruise was finalized in August last year.
